GET UP FEST NZ was born from a passion to bring world-class street art to New Plymouth and make art accessible to everyone in our community. What started as a vision has grown into New Zealand's premier week-long street art festival, attracting thousands of visitors and dozens of talented artists each year.
As a registered charitable organization (CC63863), we are committed to transforming public spaces through vibrant murals while providing educational opportunities that inspire the next generation of artists. Our festival has become a cornerstone cultural event in Taranaki, bringing economic vitality and artistic innovation to the region.
To provide an annual event that will connect communities through interactive experiences and involvement through street art and murals in public places. We believe art has the power to bring people together, spark conversations, and create shared experiences that strengthen community bonds.
To advance education and promote arts by organizing a week-long art festival featuring local, national, and international artists. The festival provides free and low-cost art exhibitions, workshops, and education for schools and the general public, ensuring art education is accessible to all.
